Doris DeSouza

Flyer for "Hotties & Bodies" event featuring burlesque, comedians, and pole dancers. Shows "Bawdy Comedian" and "Doris DeSouza." Event on May 30, 7-9 PM at Shanghai Room, Seattle. Tickets $20 online, $25 at door.

A first-generation Colombian-American, Doris DeSouza is a self-described “Florida swamp rat” on and off the mic. She moved to Tacoma in 2020 and has been performing around the Pacific Northwest since, including in Nate Jackson’s Super Funny Comedy Club’s third ever “Funniest MFer Out Here” competition. The proclaimed “Tiny Brown Clown” recently started a web-series called “Doris Laughs” where she travel across the country covering local comedy scenes and the places that hold space for comedy! Her combination of wholesomeness and degeneracy comes from a love of subverting expectations and embracing absurdity — she’s somehow both dark, silly, and a bit of everything in between. You can find more about the series and the clown at www.dorislaughs.com with any new updates or where they will be covering next after the Pacific Northwest!
